The majority of this collection concerns the life, beliefs, and philanthropy of Dr. Albert V. Danielson. Danielson was born in St. Thomas in 1893 of Danish parents and he died in Massachusetts in 1986 at the age of 93. Danielson was a successful businessman and realtor in addition to being a philanthropist and Protestant Christian. Danielson endowed a chair in Christian Thought at Brandeis University. He was a fellow of the university and he received an honorary doctorate from Brandeis in 1973.
