Robert and Judy Zeitlin papers
Scope and Contents
Items in the collection include copies of doctoral dissertations, clippings, and published articles created between 1977 to 1985.
This collection also includes an unprocessed addendum housed in six record center boxes. These papers represent work done jointly by Robert and Judy Zeitlin on archaeological/anthropological research projects in the 1970s, 1980s, and 1990s. The majority of materials are from the Laguna Zope site in Mexico. One box is from a project in Belize in the 1980s. At least some of these documents relate to materials culture artifacts from those projects held by the Brandeis Department of Anthropology.

Biographical or Historical Information
Robert N. Zeitlin is Professor Emeritus in the Department of Anthropology at Brandeis University. His work includes an interest in prehistoric archaeology of Mesoamerica and North America, pre-state and early state societies, political-economy, trade/exchange, sociocultural evolution, and archeological method and theory.
Judy F. Zeitlin is Professor Emerita in the Department of Anthropology at University of Massachusetts Boston.
