Scope and Contents

Materials in this collection range from 1985 through 1997. They mainly consist of research reports and policy and planning papers, but there are also letters, newsletters, and flyers. The specific topics covered under Jewish studies include community analyses, population studies, marriage and family, philanthropy, youth programs, women studies, synagogue studies, leadership, voluntarism, and education. Special publications include a 1995 report about a symposium on the North American Jewish Press, a 1996 monograph about the organizational changes within the New York United Jewish Appeal-Federation from 1986-1996, and a 1997 statement on the Jewish future.
