Scope and Contents

The files in this collection were created between 1955 and 1963.  They include both personal and professional correspondence, manuscript drafts, and teaching notes.  Also included are newsletters, political brochures, and travel paraphernalia.  The collection does contain reprints of various works, as well as many notes in Russian.

Arranged in seven series: 1. Biographical Information: 1955-1959; 2. Correspondence: 1955-1959; 3. Writings: 1955-1962, undated; 4. Teaching: 1956-1960, undated; 5. Collected Writings: 1959-1961, undated; 6. Political Brochures: circa 1960; 7. Travel: circa 1959-1963.   Series 1, 2, 4, 5, and 7 are organized chronologically. Series 3 is arranged by manuscript section and draft. Series 6 is arranged alphabetically.

Custodial History

The custodial history of this collection is unknown.

Processing Information

This collection was initially processed and arranged to the folder level in 1999. A digital finding aid was written for the collection in 2012. Updates were made to the finding aid in 2022.

Collection was reorganized by the archives to facilitate research use.

Restrictions were identified during an earlier iteration of processing.

It appears that folder titles were assigned by an earlier processor.
