Abstract

In this folder, we have a variety of school records and educational related items. We have a certificate declaring that Nils Arne Henden, who was born in Norway, and Helumt Hirsch were regular students in the Architecture Department at the Deutschschen Technischen Hochschule in Prague from 1935-36. Both certificates have the original stamp. Then we have a handwritten letter of recommendation for Hirsch dated August 5, 1935 and a typed letter from Paul Wager, who ran a construction business. Before going to study in Prague, Hirsch worked for Wagner's construction company for the month of August doing various tasks. We also have Hirsch's final report card from the Dillmann Realgymnasium Stuttgart, and received passing marks. The report card is dated Feb. 18, 1935 and has the original seal of the school. Next we have a payment slip and receipt for the 1936/37 semester for Hirsch to study in Prague. A document from the registrar, which is stamped with the seal of the Third Reich with the city Stuttgart appearing on the stamp. We also have a vaccination certificate. There is a chart from one of Hirsch's classes on geology that looks at igneous rocks, and there is a handout for sediments. We have a certificate stating Hirsch has sufficient knowledge of geometry. The last item in this folder is a handwritten confirmation that Hirsch has passed his course.
