Henry S. Hooker to Eleanor Roosevelt, February 25, 1943
Scope and Contents
This series contains letters, arranged chronologically, written by Eleanor Roosevelt to Louise Lazell. These letters cover the period from 1933 to 1941, and reflect the friendly, though not very close, acquaintanceship of the two women. Also, this series includes correspondence between Mrs. Roosevelt and her friend Henry S. Hooker, from 1941 until 1952. Most of these letters are not very long and do not deal with personal issues, however, they provide an insight on the fading of a once close relationship. Correspondence with Robert S. Benjamin reflects the active social life of Eleanor Roosevelt during the last years of her life.
