Materials in this collection were created from 1966 through 1988 and comprise primarily reports, proposals, grant applications, professional correspondence, newspaper clippings, resolutions, fliers, memoranda, course syllabi, student biographies, and ephemera. Primary topics include: the creation of the University Studies in the Humanities program at Brandeis; student grade distribution statistics; the Ford Hall takeover; the creation of the university's African and Afro-American Studies Department; and the Transitional Year Program.
