Sub-series 4: Community Engagement includes documents from various Lilith programs, programming resources for Jewish teenage girls, demographic studies, reader surveys, and index cards with contact information for people involved in the campaign to free Ida Nudel, a Jewish “refusenik” attempting to leave the Soviet Union in the 1980s. Of particular note are more than 200 submitted reader surveys, which were gathered from the Winter 1999 issue of Lilith. Questions covered basic demographic information, the division of labor in the home, sexual relationships, and feminist perspectives. Also of note is “The Volunteerism Game”, a playful look at the experience of participating in Jewish women’s organizations drawn by Aviva Cantor. Materials are arranged by function, then chronologically within each folder.

The collection is open for research.

There are two folders entitled Converts in Series 3: Editorial Files, Sub-Series 2: Rituals and Religious Life. The second "Converts" folder (Folder 9a) is restricted until 2059 due to the interviewees request for confidentiality.
