Sub-series 1: Rituals and Religious Life contains manuscripts related to Jewish women’s experiences within a religious context, feminist reworking of rituals, and perspectives on issues within Judaism. Many of the manuscripts focus on women's place within the religious framework of Judaism, whether as female religious leaders or as women hoping to find their own place within rituals and celebrations. Highlights in this sub-series include interviews with Jewish women from a variety of backgrounds, particularly female mohalim, Ethiopian women, and women who converted to Judaism. There are also many examples of women developing new feminist rituals within Judaism, which reflect the Haggadahs featured in Series 2: Subject Files. Materials are arranged by subject, then chronologically within each folder. The folder entitled "Converts" (Folder 9, Box 12) is restricted until 2059.

There are two folders entitled Converts in Series 3: Editorial Files, Sub-Series 2: Rituals and Religious Life. The second "Converts" folder (Folder 9a) is restricted until 2059 due to the interviewees request for confidentiality.
