Scope and Contents

A large series of correspondence between Sachar and various institutions and individuals. A wide variety of topics are covered in the correspondence, including general greetings, administrative matters, fundraising, donations, speaking engagements, the hiring of faculty, visits by others to Brandeis and by Sachar to other institutions, service on various boards, and special events. Several notable names appear in the files, among them David Ben-Gurion, Abba Eban, Dwight D. Eisenhower, and Marc Chagall.
