3 copies of a concert program from 04/10/1965
In this folder are 3 copies of a concert program for a performance of Lazarof's "Odes for Orchestra". The performance was given by the Utah Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Maurice Abravanel. "Odes for Orchestra" (1962-63) for chamber or full symphony orchestra is perhaps the most "contemporary' of the works submitted and accepted for the Rockefeller Week. A pointillistic work in post-Webern style, it achieves its impact primatily on its cogent musical method quite apart from any extra-musical associations. that a certain classical sweep and clarity of purpose are intended may be deduced from the title with which the composer has invested the work." -- Program notes
