    As the first woman elected to the Knesset (Israel’s parliament), this series includes newspaper clippings of Freedman’s early work with the Jewish feminist movement, newspaper clippings covering Freedman’s election to the Knesset, notes of congratulations to Freedman about her election, as well as miscellaneous documents and materials produced during her time serving on the Knesset, including drafts of speeches, correspondence related to her work with battered women, and a document outlining the platform of the Women’s Party in Israel, which Freedman helped found. The bulk of materials in this series dates to the mid-1970s. Arranged chronologically by oldest to most recent.
