    Zosa Szajkowski, born Yehoshua/Shayke Frydman in Poland in 1911, was a prolific scholar of Jewish history and historiography. During and after World War II he took large amounts of documentation of European Jewish life out of Europe and sold or donated them to many American institutions. He taught briefly at Brandeis, studied at the YIVO Institute for Jewish Research, and wrote and published extensively on Jewish History.
