Professor William Goldsmith taught at Brandeis University from 1960 to 1984 as a professor of Politics and American Civilization. He began his post-secondary education with a B.A. from St. John's College and finished with a doctorate in Public Law and Government from Columbia University. In addition to teaching, Goldsmith initiated and participated in numerous programs and committees at Brandeis. His most significant publications include The Brandeis Papers Commission and The Growth of Presidential Power.
