    Editor-in-Chief of the Oxford Research Encyclopedia of Literature. She is the author or editor of numerous essays and books on mid-20th-century American politics and culture, including Black&White and Noir: America’s Pulp Modernism and the prize-winning American Pulp: How Paperbacks Brought Modernism to Main Street. She is currently working on two books: "Into the Image," a collection of essays; and a double biography of two fathers, entitled "Cold War Dads: Family Secrets and the National Security State." She lives in Queens, New York.
