Lise Vogel is a feminist sociologist and art historian from the United States. An influential Marxist-feminist theoretician, she is recognised for being one of the main founders of the Social Reproduction Theory. She received her A.B. from Radcliffe College in 1960 and a doctoral segree in Art History at Harvard University. Vogel then went on to teach at Brown University and enrolled in the PhD program in sociology at Brandeis University in 1976.
