Frederic Rzewski is an American composer and virtuoso pianist. Several of compositions deal with social and political themes. He co-founded the Musica Elettronica Viva with Alvin Curran and Richard Teitelbaum. Musica Elettronica Viva prompted collaboration with improvisation and live electronic instruments.
