  • Biography/Historical Note

Brandeis University photographer from 1948 to 1981. Norman was one of the most popular staff members around. In 1977 the university recognized his contribution by awarding him an honorary master's degree. One visible reminder of his tenure here is Cholmondeley's Coffeehouse, named for his second dog, who achieved notoriety by wandering onto the Ullman Amphitheater platform to get an up-close-and-personal perspective on honorary degree-recipient UN Ambassador Adlai Stevenson.
